Your First Visit
Please arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. This allows you to finish any additional paperwork and relax before we get started. First, you will have a private consultation with your practitioner, Ida or Michelle, to go over your paperwork and discuss your complaint. Then, we will bring you over to the treatment area where you will pick a recliner, remove your shoes, socks and any items surrounding your wrists and get comfortable. We treat in recliners, because we have found they are more comfortable than treatment tables, which allow for better treatments. Once the needles are inserted, you just lie back, close your eyes and let acupuncture do its job. Most treatments last from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours.
The treatment area is a quiet, soothing space and it depends on all of us to keep it that way, so…
- Cell phones off
- All communication is between patients and practitioners only and is done in whispers
- You are here for treatment, so close your eyes, turn off your brain and relax
- If snoring bothers you or you are easily wakened, bring ear plugs, eye masks or whatever you need to help you relax
- If you need to leave at a specific time, just let your practitioner know before we leave the treatment area
- And lastly, enjoy the quiet and soothing space : We do!
